Our Services: Residential Safety & Security Inspection

The My Safe Zone Safety and Security Inspection is the result of many months of detailed discussions with local law enforcement officials, advocating a critical need in our communities to increase levels of residential safety, security, and emergency preparedness.  In addition to the detailed inspection and report, a key component of this service, which had been previously lacking, was the ability to assist residents with the follow-up needed to remedy the suggested areas of improvement.  The My Safe Zone product and partner network was created to fulfill this need.

Our Inspectors
  • Our inspectors are fully trained by Certified Crime Prevention Specialists
  • Most are current or former law enforcement professionals
  • All inspectors are licensed and insured
Inspection and Report
  • Prior to the inspection, the homeowner will be profiled by a My Safe Zone agent
  • Inspections are typically scheduled one to two weeks in advance
  • The My Safe Zone Inspector will conduct a 123 point inspection.
  • Inspection areas of focus include:
    - Exterior: Landscaping, Window Treatments, and Lighting
    - Entry Points: Doors, Windows, and Garages
    - Interior: Child Safety, Senior Safety, Computer Safety, and Emergency Planning
  • Both the interior and exterior of your home are covered in the inspection
  • Inspection is geared toward homeowner’s profile, which includes areas of concern
  • The report will include recommendations for remedies of improvement areas
Comprehensive Safety and Security Kit with CD
  • Detailed information on how to help ensure your family’s safety and security
  • Sections include:
    - Auto, Travel, and Identity Safety
    - Disaster Supplies and Checklist
    - Family Communications Plan
    - First Aid
    - Home Inventory Worksheets
    - Personal Medical Information and Consent Forms
  • CD contains a Forms Library that allows you to organize and maintain your family’s information
Inspection Follow-Up
  • The homeowner will be contacted by a My Safe Zone Agent within one week of the Inspection
  • My safe zone will review the recommended areas that need improvement and give suggestions to remedy these areas
  • If needed, My Safe Zone can provide assistance with scheduling of resources from our partner network
